About MP3 Cutter

We built MP3 Cutter because trimming a 30-second clip shouldn't require installing software, creating an account or uploading a private recording to a stranger's server.

How it works

• Decoding: your browser's built-in Web Audio API decodes MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC and more.
• Editing: cuts, fades, volume and speed are rendered with an OfflineAudioContext — the same engine browsers use for audio playback, running at full speed on your CPU.
• Encoding: MP3 files are encoded with the open-source LAME algorithm in a background Web Worker, so the interface stays responsive.

• Privacy first — no uploads, ever.
• Free forever — supported by non-intrusive ads, never by locking features.
• Fast — the page is static HTML served from Cloudflare's global edge network.
